Mr Sushi has a delectable array of sushi and always fresh. Prices are reasonable, service is prompt, and ambiance is pleasant. The food is great, never disappoint. I am a Udon soup connoisseur and they always serve the right thing. Their pad Thai is delicious, and they also provide the hibachi experience. If you are a hibachi/sushi lover this place is the pick for the area.
I received wonderful service while sitting at the bar. I ordered the sushi dinner and was not disappointed. The restaurant was clean and host inviting.
My wife and I enjoyed a nice lunch at Mr. Sushi and grill. I enjoyed two tempura shrimp rolls, a Salmon roll, a miso soup and side salid. My wife had an unsalted edemami starter and a lunch of vegetable tempura, Ton katse with pork and white rice. We found the food to be fresh and quite good. Our Miso soup was too salty for my wife, but it was fine for me. Our server was a bit lacking. She placed one fork for my wife and not for me. She gave me a small bowl for liquid, but not one for my wife. She seemed a bit more distracted than we're used to. We gave her a good tip nevertheless. Recommended
Give this place a second chance after a really lackluster first visit a while ago. Service this time was a lot better, my server was much nicer and patient when waiting on my order, plus asked if I had any allergies. I felt like he was very attentive asking how was my meal and moving fast to bring my food to my table. As for the food, I loved spicy tuna martini, not only is super unique but very delicious. Actually spicy lump of tuna, on top of crunchy spiraled carrot with tempura crab legs. Honestly well worth the price. The dream roll & shrimp tempura roll, both were delicious and not skimpy on filling, but let me tell you thin sliced lemon on sushi is awesome, like a good balance of salty and bitter. Am glad I give here a second chance. I will tell don't come here when they have this do break thing where close down the kitchen for a hour. You get better service if you come a hour or more before there break.
If you're into a crowded restaurant go for it. The service is good, the food is ok, not really my style of food. The drinks 21+ have a couple, you won't be upset. Too compact of an area and it's almost as if you're sitting on top of each other but next to each other.

First time here. It's very nice inside. I ordered takeout sushi. Got 3 rolls for $14. It was awesome! They have a big menu.i will be back again. Next time I will dine in.
Mr Sushi & Grill was a true delight except my friends and I could not locate Mr Sushi. But our waiter was amazing, except he talked to us for so long my Udon was getting cold. All good tho. He was very nice. I got the Vegetable Udon (8/10), very very good. I also got the Japanese fried rice which was fire too (8/10). I also got this broccoli sushi which was literally exactly what you would expect. A piece of broccoli in sushi. For this reason, it gets a 7/10 because there was no wow factor. Vegetable gyozas were mid (6/10). Miso was standard miso (6/10). Portion sizes were big. The ambiance is cute and there is nice lighting. They are also open pretty late compared to the nearby options, so that's a plus. TLDR: All the food at Mr Sushi and Grill is literally exactly what you would expect for a Japanese hibatchi place. The fried rice tasted like fried rice. Udon tasted like udon. Sushi tasted like sushi. The only disappointment was not being able to meet Mr. Sushi.

I go here all the time. The chicken fried rice is so fire. I've had many different rolls and all of the sushi is also very good. Probably the best all around Japanese food in Middletown in my opinion.
